The York Archaeological Trust for Research and Excavation has now made the Driffield Terrace osteological report available on their website. Current research into bite marks on one of the Roman skeletons is investigating whether they were gladiators.

Exhition: The Gladiators: A Cemetery of Secrets

A new exhibition at Millenium Place in Durham shows 6 possible gladiator skeletons from York

The six possible gladiator skeletons that were exhibited in York until recently have now moved to a new exhibition space in the centre of Durham. The exhibition is organised by the York Archaeological Turst/Jorvik. The exhibition will stay in Durham, at Millenium Place, until at least March 2012.
